I had the amazing opportunity to sit with filmmaker and activist, Vanessa Hope, on my podcast, REBELLIOUS, Art, Culture, Human. Her film, INVISIBLE NATION is now the number 2 highest grossing film in Tawian’s history! And I under stand why. Yes it’s a beautiful, meticulously made film. But it’s more than that. It’s that intangible thing that every single one of us crave, long for and need- is to be seen. Feeling seen and/or seeing someone is one of the most powerful forces there is. With Invisible Nation, Vanessa, manages to do that for an entire Nation!
Invisible Nation, is not only a cinematic portrait of Taiwan’s democracy through the leadership of President, Tsai In-wen. It’s demonstrates this first female president leading without bravado but with moral clarity, integrity, and vision.

“Taiwan is a test. If the world lets an open, democratic society fall to authoritarian aggression. that says everything about where we are headed. Taiwans story is our warning- and our inspiration.
